What this is. Who owns it. How to tell us we are wrong.
Proof Over Promises is a publication. It holds one standard: is this a promise, or is this proof? A resume is a promise. A vendor deck is a promise. Proof is a demonstration, a number, a receipt, a timestamp, a source. The remit covers the whole BitPlan ecosystem, not hiring alone — important decisions get made on claims nobody checked, in hiring and in what businesses are being sold as AI.
Published by BitPlan Loyalty Inc.
BitPlan sells hiring software (BitStage) and AI consulting (Barnes Signal Advisor). That is a conflict of interest, disclosed verbatim in the masthead of every page rather than in a modal or a footnote. Nothing is sold here — no products, no plans, no prices, no demos. Links out are editorial references only. One percent of BitPlan revenue funds JayDay, which our own argument obliges us to fund.
We publish findings that cut against us — 4 of 26 current entries in Evidence do. Not enough. We are still hunting for the ones we have missed.
We publish it here first.
Find a number we have overstated and we will correct it in public, with a timestamp and a note saying what we got wrong. We will not silently edit. Every correction gets an entry in The Ledger.
- 01 You send it, or we find it. Either way it gets an entry.
- 02 The entry opens as OPEN in The Ledger with a date, the subject, and plain language about what was wrong.
- 03 The original text is corrected in place and marked CORRECTED, never quietly edited and never removed.
- 04 When there is nothing left to resolve, the entry moves to SETTLED and stays on the record.
Tell us we are wrong.
Send the claim, where you found it, and the source or figure that contradicts it. The link below opens a message with those four fields already set out. If you would rather not use email, the same details sent any way you like still get an entry.
